Georgia on my mind

Our Wedding Video was in Atlanta a few weeks ago, doing a shoot and I’m just getting caught up with all the work I had waiting for me. Atlanta was beautiful especially from an R-22 helicopter. All footage was shot in HD with the Sony FX1 HD camera, this is the second arial footage I have shot with this camera and I have to say the image stabilization is the best I have ever used. This stabilization system is also the reason why I never use a tripod when shooting wedding videos. It allows me the freedom to roam and set angles impossible with a tripod or stead cam and yet it delivers a smooth enough shot to trick some people into thinking I am using a steady cam. This helicopter ride took me over downtown Atlanta, over the Georgia Dome, Turner Field, and over some the beautiful high rises that defined the Atlanta skyline and yes I was hanging over the side strapped in by a harness. All very cool and another reason why I love video so much. This video will not be on the website at the request of the client but I am allowed to say it rocked. Next week I be back in Houston and the month of May Our Wedding Video well be smokin’ wedding video’s all across San Antonio. Talk to you later.

Dallas goes HD
Our Wedding Video was in Dallas last weekend for Karen and Jeff’s wedding. The event was held at the famous Perkin’s Chapel on the grounds of SMU. Our Wedding Video was honored to the first San Antonio wedding videographer or any videographer for that matter to shoot the entire event in High Definition. I fact the people at Perkin’s where very accommodating and allowed us to place a camera at the alter, this is very rare and is reserved for only a handful of wedding professionals. Jeff and Karen are great people and this was the first marriage for both of them. The reception was held at the Tower Club, what a great view, I really had fun with this wedding. Jeff had hired Our Wedding Video because we are the only wedding professional shooting all weddings in high definition and that was very important to him. We have found this to be the case more and more as people are look for wedding videographers, they want HD. We are still the only San Antonio wedding videographer shooting all weddings in high definition.

On The Road Again
Our Wedding Video a San Antonio wedding videographer, was on the road again this weekend in Corpus Christi. Beautiful day and another great couple, Corpus is fun because as a wedding videographer there is so many unique things to shoot that you can’t find in many of other cities in Texas that I usually work, namely the ocean. This is the first time I shot a reception at the Tower Club which is located in the middle of the two office towers on shoreline drive. This is a cool location for a medium size reception. I love wedding videography because of locations like that, it’s always refreshing to find new places to try new creative techniques.
